Projects led and contributed

COMING 1.6.2026 !!!

Project Leader of Smart Micropath project. Project supports preclinical research for neurodegenerative diseases by enabling more accurate experimental disease models and smarter interpretation of research data. Supported by Technology Industries of Finland Centennial Foundation.

1.6.2022-31.12.2024

Research partner of Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and co-leader of the project: Electrophysiological Phenotype Characterization of iPSC-derived Neuronal Cells with PD-linked LRRK2 Mutations during Network Formation and Alpha-Synuclein Seeded Aggregation

1.10.2017 – 30.09.2019

Contributing as postdoctoral researcher to IMPRiND project – Inhibiting Misfolded Protein Propagation in Neurodegenerative Diseases. Project aims to map and target critical steps in the propagation of misfolded tau and α-synuclein, considered the main culprits of neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease respectively.

1.9.2017 – 30.9.2017

PhD researcher in Biological Neuronal Communications and Computing with ICT (NeuCom)

Project aims to study the interactions of biological neuronal networks and ICT using a very high-density electrode array with an integrated digital signal processor. Also aiming to obtain new knowledge on communications and computing in biological neuronal networks.
